M.M.Alex Mathew

Alex Mathew became familiar to Malayalam film audience by his role as a Bus Owner 'Babu' in the Super hit film 'Thoovanathumbikal' which was directed by P.Padmarajan in the year 1987.It was a well noted film in which Mohan Lal acted in the male lead role.Parvathy and Sumalatha were in the female leads.In this film the handsome young  actor 'Alex Mathew' was liked by the  audience.Prior to that film in the year 1986 he had acted in another hit film of Mohan Lal 'Rajavinte Makan' which was directed by Thampi Kannanthanam.In that film Ambika was the heroine.
Alex Mathew was born in Kottayam in the year 1958 and  was settled in Chennai with his wife and two  children.
Alex Mathew (Dr.M.M.Alex Mathew) was not just an actor or confined as an actor but he was a Scientist in Human Life Science and had a Doctorate  Degree.He did research for 30 years and also known for the 220 documentations and papers which dealt with varied subjects like spirituality, world peace,human rights,health' and so on.
He was the founder of organisations like 'Jeevasasthranjan,Vedic India Society and Institute of Ancient Integrated Therapies'.
Dr.M.M.Alex Mathew had also served as a member of the  Jury for National film Awards.He was producer of more than 200 documentaries.
For the upheaval of Sanskrit Language he was given a National award by name 'Samskrita Mitra'.He was also recipient of an Award from the 'Universal Peace Federation'.
He acted in more than 65 films in Malayalam,Tamil,Telugu and in Hindi which he  appeared mostly in Villain roles.
In Malayalam his appearance in the film 'Randam Varavu' in 1990 along with Jayaram and Rekha which was directed by K.Madhu and in the film 'Parampara' directed by Sibi Malayil in the same year in which he acted along with Mammootty were also well noted.
M.M.Alex Mathew died of Cardiac arrest on June 23, 2015 at Chennai.
